我是來自香港的邓美结老師，很喜欢和不同文化的人相处和共事。在美国从事社会工作多年后，回到了中国，加入UIC这个大家庭。UIC是一所博雅型的大学，十分重视学生的全人发展。作为文雅苑的舍監，我希望同学们勤学好问，通文达理。所以在新的学年，我和宿生会一定努力，全力支持同学们參与各項有益的学习活动，以培養良好的品格和人文素質。

My name is Maggie Tang. I was born in Hong Kong. I had been a social work practitioner for years in the United States. I enjoy working with people of different cultures. After 16 years in the United States, I came back to China in 2011. I am very glad to have the opportunity to serve UIC students here. I share with UIC’s mission. I highly value the development of the whole person. I believe deeply in my responsibility to help our students build not only intellect, but also character. In the coming year, I am looking forward to working with our students and support their participation in a variety of intellectual, social, athletic and recreational activities.
