Xu Jialu is the former Vice-Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Chinese National People's Congress. He graduated from Beijing Normal University in 1959 and remained as staff member and, later, Chairman of the Faculty of Chinese Language until 1987. From 1987-1994 Prof. Xu was Vice-President of Beijing Normal University and a member of the Standing Committee of the Chinese National People's Congress. Subsequently, he was named Chairman of the Working Committee on Language and Linguistics under the NPC and Vice-Chairman of the Standing Committee of NPC. With numerous publications on language and linguistics to his credit, Prof. Xu is an authority in the field. In 2005 he was awarded an honorary doctorate by Hong Kong Baptist University.

The captioned scheme was launched in the academic year 2008/09 to recognize UIC final year students who have proven excellence in whole person development. To give the award more prestige, a college scholarship came with the award starting from the academic year 2010/11.

许嘉璐教授1959年毕业于北京师范大学并留校任教，1987-1994年任北京师范大学副校长及全国人大常委，其后任国家语言文字委员会主任及全国人大常委会副委员长。许教授专长文字学及语言学，著作甚丰，2003年获香港浸会大学荣誉文学博士学位。2005年，在两校共同推举之下，许教授出任学院校董会主席。

许嘉璐全人教育奖励计划于2008-2009学年度启动，此项计划的目的在于表示学校对能够在学业和全人发展方面均有卓越表现的大四学生的一种认可。为了优化该奖励计划，UIC自2010-2011学年度起为该计划获得者设置了校级奖学金。

Mr. Fung Sun Kwan is a famous Hong Kong patriotic entrepreneur and philanthropist. He was born in Hong Kong and studied in England in his youth. He is also an Honorary Fellow of Hong Kong Baptist University and the Education University of Hong Kong.

Mr. Fung is the Chairman of the Fung Sun Kwan Chinese Arts Foundation and the founder of Chinese Classics of Confucius Fund. For years, he and his wife Madame Bao Jun Ping had generously donated money to promote traditional Chinese studies. In 2018, he donated 150 million RMB to the Ministry of Education of P.R.C., Peking University, Tsinghua University, and Beijing Normal University to cultivate teachers and scholars in the studies of Chinese ancient civilization and incorporate Chinese traditional culture education into the content of general education. Closer to home, Mr. Fung Sun Kwan  donated 10 million to support the establishment of UIC,  three million dollars of which was set aside  for the establishment of the Mr. Fung Sun Kwan Scholarship of Excellence whose aim is to encourage  students to study the national culture and conditions  to ensure that  Chinese culture will endure. Mr. Fung Sun Kwan passed away in Hong Kong on 2 October 2019 at the age of 87.

冯燊均先生，香港著名爱国实业家，慈善家。生于香港，青年时代留学英国，香港浸会大学及香港教育大学荣誉院士。

冯先生为「冯燊均国学基金会」主席及「大成国学基金」创始人，多年来偕同夫人鲍俊萍女士慷慨捐输，致力弘扬国学。2018年捐赠一亿五千万人民币予教育部、北大、清华及北师大，以培训国学教师与大师，并将国学课程纳入基础教育。早于UIC建校初期，冯先生已捐资一千万予校园支持办学，首三百万元设立“冯燊均先生国情国学教育优秀学生奖学金”，以激励学生研习国情国学及增强传承中华文化的使命感。冯燊均先生2019年10月2日在香港逝世，享年87岁。

Mr. Cutrupia and his wife Ngai Chiu Fung  who is an alumna of Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU), have an abiding interest in  the development of HKBU and UIC  and have been giving back to society by establishing many funds and scholarships to help various needy or worthy people and organizations.          

The Mr and Mrs Cutrupia Scholarship, intended to help r outstanding mainland  students with financial difficulties,  is established in 2012, targeting  minority students and students from remote and border areas  for studies at UIC to  realize their  dreams of a college education. Besides, the UIC Cutrupia Couple Endowment Fund, Hong Kong Students Sponsorship Scheme has been initiated with the purpose of encouraging outstanding  Hong Kong students to study at UIC. In doing so, this big-hearted couple have been supporting the college to provide quality education.

CUTRUPIA先生和他的妻子魏昭凤女士在中国的众多商业领域都取得了很大成就，魏昭凤女士是香港浸会大学的校友。 他们一直心系香港浸会大学及UIC的发展，并通过成立多项基金和助学基金，帮助不同的人士及团体，回馈社会。

古楚璧伉俪助学金，设立于2012年，旨在资助优秀贫困学子（特别是少数民族和边远地区）接受UIC的博雅教育，圆其大学梦。此外，为推动大陆与香港青年的充分交流，特对我校全日制的香港籍学生设立专项奖助学金，鼓励香港优秀青年入读UIC。

Ching-Fai Shuk Wah Scholarship was founded by the Alumni Association Council of UIC. This scholarship is named in honor of Ng Ching-Fai, the first president of UIC and his wife, to recognize outstanding students who show promise as   servant leaders, as long advocated by Prof Ng. The Ching-Fai Shuk Wah Scholarship is a realization of UIC’s ideal of Whole Person Education and Four-Point Education.

“清辉蜀华奖学金”由北师港浸大校友会理事会创立。该奖学金以北师港浸大创校校长吴清辉及其夫人的名字命名，用于奖励吴清辉教授一直倡导的具有服务型领袖才能的优秀在校生。“清辉蜀华奖学金”是北师港浸大秉持“全人教育”和“四维教育”理念的最好证明。

Established in 2014, committing to becoming the ecological leader of bio-pharmaceutical industry, Guangdong Medical Valley (MEDV) is an investment incubation platform focusing on the biomedical and medical device industries. Guangdong Medical Valley sets up the Guangdong Medical Valley Scholarship for UIC students to award them for their outstanding academic achievement, enthusiasm for research and devotion to community service. With the support of this scholarship, Guangdong Medical Valley hopes UIC students can launch into new challenges with courage and confidence. May there be more success to come.

广东医谷创立于2014年，是专注于生物医药和医疗器械的投资孵化平台，致力于成为生物医药产业生态创领者。广东医谷设立“广东医谷奖学金”用于嘉奖北师港浸大同学的学业成就、科研热情以及对公益事业的投入。希望该奖学金的支持可以鼓励同学们勇敢自信地面对新的挑战，获得更多的成就。
