For encouraging students to participate in social services and contribute to the social development of the city of Zhuhai, the Luo Ping Social Service Fund is now open for application. The fund was donated by Professor Eva Lai in honor of her late husband Mr. Luo Ping, a professional and dedicated teacher in Hong Kong.

Details of the application are as follows.

1. Eligibility to apply: All UIC students formed in teams.
2. Level of Subsidy: Every semester, we will approve not more than 5 projects on social service. Each project will receive a maximum of 3000 RMB.
3. Project nature and targets: Service nature of the projects could be educational, cultural, recreational and entrepreneurial as long as all activities are legal and respectful. All service projects should be operated in Zhuhai and targeted at people living here including migrate workers and their families.

4. Forming a Team:

4.1  3 to 10 UIC students can form into a Project team. Each member cannot join more than one team.
4.2  Each team should invite a faculty member and administrative staff as advisor.

4.3  Write up a project proposal including mainly the objectives, service targets, activities, manpower and how to evaluate the achievements of the project. Each team can submit only one project proposal each semester.

5. Budgeting: Financial budget of the project should be reasonable and attached to the project application form. Transport and food expenses together should not exceed 30% of the total expenditure.
6. Payment of Fund and Reporting: Full subsidy (3,000 RMB) will be granted in advance of the activities after approval of the project. Official receipts should be provided for all expenses together with a proper I/E report (no less than 2000 words) within 2 weeks after completion of the project. The report should include the descriptions of concerned problems and suggestions to improve the situations. Unused subsidy should be returned to SAO and reverted to the Fund.
7. Safety: Organizers are particularly reminded for security and safety measures. Off-campus activities should be attended and supervised by the Advisor.

罗平社会服务基金会致力于鼓励学生参与社会服务，推动珠海社会发展。该基金会由Eva Lai女士（前ELC主任）为纪念丈夫罗平先生而设立。


申请条件：全体UIC学生，以团体形式申请。


资助金额：每学期基金将提供最多5个社会服务项目（不超过3000RMB/项目）


宗旨及目标：所有活动将通过合法且有意义的形式进行，集教育，文化，娱乐，企业精神为一体。


（注：所有活动将于珠海进行，关怀民生，具有公益意义。）


团队要求：


1.一个项目团队须由3-10名UIC学生组成（同一学生不可同时参与两个团队）；

2.项目提案内容应包含：目的、服务目标、活动、人力及成就评估等；

3.每队须由一名教师或行政人员作为指导老师。
