北师港浸大社会工作及社会行政专业教授。曾任香港青年协会行政干事、香港社会服务联合国际交流干事、香港吸烟与健康委员会行政总监、香港医疗管理学会行政干事、城市大学大学讲师。持国际重大事件压力基金会国际危机干预培训导师证书、美国玛丽兰州波尔的摩大学（UMBC）重大事件压力管理证书，美国六秒（Six Seconds Emotional Intelligence Network）情绪智能管理证书,香港认知行为学会CBT证书。获国际重大事件压力基金会国际危机干预个人领袖奖（2015），美国。无国界社工国际事务委员主席，灾害工作方面曾参加南亚海啸，汶川地震，东日本大灾，尼泊尔地震灾后工作，在2020疫情期间组织危机干预督导支持社会心理志愿者向武汉居民提供网上关怀服务。

Johnston Wong, Professor in Applied Psychology, started his career as a youth worker in Hong Kong. His early academic interests focused on youth development, counseling, and family life education, branching out to psychological stress, unemployment, and industrial social services.  In Hong Kong, he participated in various district and central government committees related to youth policies, education, social care, healthcare financing andhospital governance. Since 2005 he has been involved in many post-disaster social work and psychological interventions and become the non-executive director of the Social Workers Across Borders.

Message：

Thomas J Peters and Robert Waterman, published their famous book In Search of Excellence: Lessons from America's Best-Run Companies in 1982. This book described the success stories of 10 companies and the authors have come to the conclusion that their key success factor is “the attitude to achieve excellence in work”.

I would advise my hall students to remember that no person is born successful, no matter what kind of definition you assign to success. Success only comes after hard work and harder work along the right way.

May I quote Yu QiuYu: “The greatest purpose of learning is to get away from mediocrity”. The Excellence Education Hall welcomes those students who admit that we are not genius but we would not lead a mediocre life.

We shall invite a lot of ordinary yet distinguished people to share their life stories with our hall residents. In a way we can climb on the shoulders of these giants to have a better view of this wonderful world.

张巧运博士

是美国杜兰大学人类学博士，复旦大学本科。现为北京师范大学-香港浸会大学联合国际学院社会科学系副教授，数字社会科学署理副系主任。曾为荷兰国际亚洲研究所博士后、牛津大学人类学与博物馆民族志系兼职研究员。张博士的研究领域包括灾难人类学、非物质文化遗产保护和数字人类学。她已在Journal of Contemporary China, Journal of American Folklore, Asian Ethnology, China Information, 《民俗研究》等国内外重要期刊中发表了10余篇文章。张博士的研究也获得了包括美国国家科学基金会和广东省社科规划处在内的多个国内外研究机构的支持。
