The introduction of BMS Club
The BMS—Body-Mind-Self Health Plan is developed from the concept of holistic health. "Body" represents the human body, "Mind" represents mental world, "Self" represents ego. Body, mind, and self are three aspects that interact with one another and are equally important for maintaining mental health. The BMS Club is a student organization founded on the BMS concept. It endeavors to guide individuals towards attaining the objectives of physical well-being, self-acceptance, acceptance of others, and the comprehensive development of personality. This is achieved by engaging in activities like handicraft-making, dancing, meditation, and yoga. The BMS Club activities are open to all students, and we hope that every UICer can enjoy the following benefits:
Enhanced Physical Health
Strenthened Mental Well-being
Achieved Self-Discovery and Personal Growth
Built Social Connection
Improved Concentration
Promoted Self-Acceptance and Acceptance of Others
Realized Holistic Personality Development

Body-Mind-Self activities:
The PGCC provides a platform for students and organizes a variety of activities. It enables students to utilize their personal talents to hold workshops to teach other UICers, including yoga, dance, painting, calligraphy, reading, fabric handcrafts, special tea gatherings, etc. In these body-mind-self activities, through communication and sharing of vitality and happiness, both the leaders and participants experience improvement and a sense of flow in all aspects of body, mind, and self.
The BMS Pavilion (T4-201) is a dedicated activity area established by the BMS Club. Its primary aim is to provide a comfortable, stress-relieving environment for the entire campus. Within this space, faculty and students can enjoy a soothing ambiance, relaxing music, and a safe atmosphere. Additionally, BMS offers a selection of books that cover a wide range of topics, including self-awareness, emotion and stress management, time management, health and wellness, and dietary guidelines. The goal is to promote a healthy lifestyle, provide effective strategies for self-regulation, and enrich the knowledge of our community about physical and mental wellbeing.
