一、目的
为嘉奖在学业上有卓越表现的学生,学校设置了一等奖学金、二等奖学金,激励同学们在学术道路上持续追求优异表现。
二、参评对象
UIC 全日制本科大二、大三、大四在校学生以及应届毕业生
三、评选标准
1) 一等奖学金:年度GPA(YGPA)排名在本年级本专业的前8%(含8%),且YGPA不低于3.00;
2) 二等奖学金:年度GPA(YGPA)排名在本年级本专业的8%-20%(不包含8%,含20%),且YGPA不低于3.00.
*如考核学年度内专业有异动的,统一以考核学年第二学期所在专业为准。
四、申请方式
无需申请,符合条件的候选人将被自动纳入考评范围。获奖结果以学生事务处邮件通知为准。
五、奖学金额度
1) 一等奖学金:¥6,000/人(人民币陆仟元/人)
2) 二等奖学金:¥3,000/人(人民币叁仟元/人)
六、有下列情况之一者,不具备参评资格
1) 在考核学年度内或在奖学金评定期间,违反国家法律、校纪校规受到纪律处分者(含书面警告及以上处分或以往所受处分没有解除的);
2)在考核学年度内或在奖学金评定期间有抄袭剽窃、弄虚作假等学术不端行为经查证属实的;
3)考核学年度学籍状态处于退学、休学或保留学籍者;
4)考核学年度参加由香港浸会大学和北师港浸大为双方本科学生提供的一学年拓展学习计划;
5)无故拖欠学杂费或未在学校缴费规定期限内缴清学杂费。
七、备注
1) 从2022-2023学年起,暑期课程成绩纳入年度GPA考核;
2) 学生如在考核学年提前修满学分,则默认以该学年的学期GPA(sGPA)作为年度GPA参与评定;
3) 学生如在考核学年参加UIC组织的学期制交换项目或海外、境外学习项目,则以该学年在UIC的学期GPA(sGPA)作为年度GPA参与评定;
4) 当年获颁全额入学续得奖学金、台湾在校生奖学金(全额)、校长荣誉奖学金、院长推荐奖学金、优秀毕业生奖学金的同学,将不再兼得一等奖学金或二等奖学金;
6) 本科生奖助学金委员会视每年学生总体成绩分布情况,保留对评选标准作相应调整和修订的权利;
7) 本实施办法经学校本科生奖助学金委员会批准,最终解释权归学校本科生奖助学金委员会。

UIC First Class Award & Second Class Award
(Applicable to the 2024-2025 academic year and subsequent academic years)
1. Purpose
The purpose of the First Class Award and Second Class Award is to encourage and reward full-time undergraduate UIC students with outstanding academic achievements in all areas of study and to encourage them to continue their academic excellence.
2. Eligibility
Full-time undergraduate sophomore, junior, and senior students enrolled at UIC and graduating class of students.
3. Selection Criteria
To be eligible for the scholarship, students with
1. a YGPA ranking no lower than the top 8% of the programme and grade, and attained a YGPA of 3.00 or above will be awarded the First Class Award, or
2. a YGPA ranking strictly between the top 8% and 20% of the programme and grade, and attained a YGPA of 3.00 or above will be awarded the Second Class Award.
* Should there be a change in the student's programme of study during the academic year under review, the YGPA ranking will be determined based on the programme in which the student was officially enrolled during the second semester of that academic year.
4. Application Method
No application is required, as eligible candidates will be considered automatically. Results of the award are subject to email notification from the Student Affairs Office.
5. Scholarship Value
1. First Class Award: RMB 6,000/person/academic year;
2. Second Class Award: RMB 3,000/person/academic year.
6. Conditions
Students will be considered ineligible for the award under any of the following circumstances:
1. Having received disciplinary action (including a written warning or more severe punishments) for violating national laws, school discipline, or regulations during the academic year of assessment or the scholarship evaluation period, or having previous punishments that have not yet been lifted;
2. Having been verified to be engaged in academic misconduct such as plagiarism, falsification;
3. Having their academic status withdrawn, suspended, or temporarily retained during the academic year of assessment;
4. Participating in the Extended Study Programme offered by HKBU and UIC during the entire academic year;
5. Having intentionally defaulted on tuition fees or failed to pay tuition fees within the prescribed payment period.
7. Remarks
1. Effective from the 2022-2023 academic year, students' grades for summer courses will be included in the YGPA calculation.
2. For students who completed credits in advance in the academic year of assessment, their individual semester GPA for that academic year will be evaluated as the YGPA by default.
3. For semester outbound students in the academic year of assessment, including those on exchange, studying abroad, or in the extended study programme, all organized by UIC, their individual semester GPA for that academic year will be evaluated as the YGPA by default.
4. Awardees of the Full Entrance Scholarship Renewal or the Full Scholarship for Taiwan Students or the President's Honor Award or the Dean's Award or the Excellent Graduate Award in any given year are not allowed to hold the First Class Award or the Second Class Award concurrently.
5. The Undergraduate Scholarship and Financial Aid Committee reserves the right to adjust and revise the scholarship selection criteria based on the students' annual academic performance.
6. The Undergraduate Scholarship and Financial Aid Committee reserves the right to make final interpretations of scholarship recommendations and selections.
